More than 45,000 mineral licences across Zambia, Nigeria, the DRC and Ghana. And the companies that sell into them.

Every licence, project, company and mining supplier traced back to the source it came from. Plus a public page stating exactly what we do not hold.

What this actually is

A register. We hold the mining cadastre for Zambia and Nigeria in full, the exploitation layer for the DRC, and the Ghanaian register as published. Alongside it sit the mining projects and operations in those countries, the companies that hold the licences, and the equipment makers, engineers and service businesses that sell into them.

What Orteller tracks

Coverage, stated honestly

Nigeria and Zambia are covered in full from open government services. DR Congo is partial — CAMI publishes exploitation permits but refuses the exploration layer. Ghana's register is public but undated and carries no coordinates. South Africa, Guinea, Mozambique, Côte d'Ivoire, Mauritania and Botswana have been assessed and gate their cadastres; Tanzania and Namibia are not yet established.

A blank country on an Orteller map means no lawful automated route to that register — not that there is no mining there. Those are different facts, and we publish which is which at orteller.com/coverage.

Who it is for

Equipment manufacturers, engineering and EPCM firms, industrial suppliers, logistics providers, investors and market-entry teams selling into or investing in African mining.
